Giving into peer pressure,

I have decided to update this sucker.
I forget that once I start doing this, I really enjoy it. I think it’s something like skiing for me as well. I see people ski and all that goes through my head is, “I forget how to stop… I forget how to stop…” etc. But then, once you start doing it, it’s fine. Beside, I know I can ski just fine.
A lot has happened since the 18th of February. The largest event was our trip to Canada. I was a good time with good people. But you must excuse my lack of detail in this account because, quite frankly, I’m tired of talking about it. If you really want to know… talk to me through some other means of communication.

I got a few things off eBay that are pretty sweet. I don’t feel like putting up the links for you here, but I got three John Deere trucker hats, Un “La oreja de Van Gogh” disco compacto, and two pair (one black, other brown) of double knee Carhartt pants (they are freaking sweet). I love sweet pants. Even more, I love people on eBay that are nice and give you what you pay for (even if it’s not formally through eBay).

Spring break was very nice. Thanks, Matt, for coming home for the weekend, it was sweet. Funny story: My sister didn’t know that I was coming home for the weekend (my family didn’t know until that morning) so I thought I would surprise her. She was somewhat surprised. After exchanging pleasantries, I asked her what she was thinking when she first saw me b/c I saw that her face visibly changed. She said that when she saw me out of the corner of her eye she said (something along the lines of), “What’s that dirty hick doing in here?” or something. Which, I suppose, I deserved. My hair hadn’t been cut for 6 months, I hadn’t shaved in 2 or 3 days, I had my John Deere trucker cap on, jeans, and a flannel shirt. Rachel says “dirty hick”, I say “freakin sweet.” But since I love my family, I allowed my hair to be cut. Owing to lack of sideburns, this is the least amount of hair I’ve had on my head since jr. year of high school.
Rachel, Bard, Matt, and I rented “Lost in Translation.” Unless you’re middle aged… you probably won’t like this movie. Talk to Bard. We’re stoked about “Lost in Translation 2” (which won’t be made for those gullible people out there).
Jon O’Hara has moved down from Vermont to grace PA with his presence. So it was good to hang out with him and smoke cigars, etc. He went with me, Matt, and Rachel to see the Passion. A very good movie. I would say see it, no matter what, just so you have something to talk to other people about as a witnessing tool if the chance should arise. I’ll admit it, one scene made me cry, though I don’t think there was any bawling in the theater. I’m sorta glad though, cause it seems to be one of those things that spreads as more people do it. (I guess that’s why I like watching Lord of the Rings with (some) girls. When Dave’s all like, “Whoa, that was the most freaking sweet thing in the world!!” Girls are crying. It reminds me of the emotion and power of the film and the message behind it, not just the how sweet it looks (But are not the eagles the sweetest looking thing ever?!? I nominate Gwaihir and Landroval for an Oscar just for looking so awesome.)

While I’m psyched about Return of the King, I suppose it my duty as a nerd to recount all the sweet (ok… Adam just gave me a hug when he learned that I was updating my blog. Megan P… help me out here.) stuff it has done. Well… better yet… here’s a link for all the sweet stuff it won. It’s a lot! I’ll list the Acadamy Awards that it won, just because it’s too sweet! Best Achievement in Art Direction, Best Achievement in Costume Design, Best Achievement in Directing, Best Achievement in Editing, Best Achievement in Makeup, Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Score, Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Song, Best Achievement in Sound, Best Achievement in Visual Effects, Best Motion Picture of the Year, Best Writing, Screenplay Based on Material Previously Produced or Published. Yeah… I copied that.

Over break I found out that my friend, Aaron Moyer, with whom I got a ride from and to school, is dating Danielle Coyle. What a small world.

The Friendship Force is back in full swing… almost. Down to me, Carl, James, and Ben… it’s a good time. So far we’re not doing too bad. We’ve won two, lost two, and the two we lost were to the IM champs last year. Oh well. I’ll try to get a picture up soon.

Thanks to Wolfy (one of Danny’s frat brothers) who brought my bike back to campus for me. Sorry ladies… I’m in love… bicicleta… mi amor…*swooned*

For Modern Europe, I’m reading “The Voyage of the Beagle,” by Charles Darwin. One of the best books I’ve read in a long time. That opinion is, unfortunately, is coming from a man who has read little else beside “Progressivism in 20th century America” for the past… too long. Dr. Harp… I’m embittered.

Kearney, Ladd, and I had to do a Spanish presentation. Office 2003’s upgrade is sweet. We defO used the English to Spanish translation thing for half of it. Explains link 13.

This weekend I’m off for a night or two to go camping (or at least to the cabin since we got an inch of snow last night). Tom said that he’ll be bringing an H&K UMP40 (like an MP5) and an assault shot gun. Hmm… yeah… I’m excited!

Time for da links:
