My sister just logged on

which probably means she'll yell at me again for not knowing what I'm doing in college.
Well, Rachel, college, thus far, is pretty much the same it has been the last three semesters.
However, my roommate, Danny, from last semester decided not to come back this semester at all, unbeknowist to Dave. I'm saddened.Break was enjoyable. I worked, climbed, and snow tubed.

I worked with my older cousin and others. Interior landscaping. They need help tearing down xmas stuff for two weeks or so, so it's a great job for dave, who has two weeks off and plenty of hours to work. So it was a good time. I got to work with my cousin, Matt (has girlfriend). We were lucky enough to be able to stay over night in New York City, all at company expense. So we were able to have a nice $70 dinner and work two 14 hour days... yeah overtime! I was also able to learn a lot more about the Philadelphia area, especially southern Bucks and Montgomery Counties.

I climbed, courtesey of Philly Rock Gym, twice over break. Thanks to Bard (single), Jim (married), and Joey (single) for the good times. Though I'm still a little pissed off that my climbing shoes that I ordered never got into the gym while I was home. I'll have to pester them about that in the future.

Big College Dave (single) also was able to hang out with my church's Jr. High Youth Group at Bear Creek. We went snow tubing. It was really crazy fun, fast, and painful. The hill had big bumps in it that really don't look like jumps. When, however, you fly over this "bumps" at 15 MPH, or something, these "bumps" evolve instantaniously into "jumps" making it super sweet. You really didn't have to work too hard to get yourself completely off the ground on the last two jumps, just pull the tube up a little bit. So I decided that on the last run of the day I would put a little more "Umpff" into it to see how far I could go. Note to self and others: One can go very far. I got some air on the second to last jump so one is still recovering from that when they hit the last jump. Unfourtunaly, my body wasn't pointed straight down the slope when I "umpff"-ed the last jump. Dave's tube caught the air and soared into lane two... due to erertia, Dave's body continued in lane one. I DO remember everything. Which included falling close to 15 feet and sliding another 20. My right thigh bone is still sore to the touch. There were few witnesses, since everyone was already heading back down to the lodge, but Bard said it looked awesome. And that's all that matters... i suppose. I would also like to say that Andrew Bard (6'3", blond, blue eyes, Xcountry runner, loves music, funny as all get out, overall sweetness level- 17 (from one to ten)) is super sweet for coming with dave on this trip full of 10-14 yearolds. Valerie (single... i think), I resisted from hitting your little sister... but sometimes it was painful to hold back. "Look! There's a Whitney! Let's hit 'em!" Bard will attest to my self restraint. Rachel R (taken... i think), niether of your brothers came... i was somewhat dissapointed. Joel (single) would have been halarious, and Daniel (stay away from) would have been halarious to watch fall down a mountain.

Since I've been back at school, I've done a few things... though I have a buttload of reading to do this semester. The tardiness of this blog entry is partly due to this fact.

First of all, thank you Mr. Dunbar (single) for driving me back to school. (this guy is so cool, he has the same sleeping bag as me... it's like... ah... nevermind.)

The Eagles lost. No link. I don't want to talk about it. Pather fans... I wish a pox on you all.

I saw ROTK for the fourth time at the Guthrie with Adam, Megan, and Tiff. I must say that girls definitely make that a better movie. ROTK leads the Oscar nomination list. No actors nominated, however. I believe that they have a real shot at best picture this year... especially with what their competition is looking like.

The new Smallville was sweet. (Clark(single) got a new, frickin awesome power!) Don't be a hater.

Alas, Spanish class is still the bane of my existance... runner up: Morrowind. Why do the gods tempt me with such awesomeness?? I'm being strong, thanks to my new Xbox support group: Adam and Matt (both single).

The outing club cabin was once again a huge success. Dean (single) cheap tubes at wal-mart (that took about 20 minutes to blow up... dang it) and we walked/pushed car down a road til we found some goodly sized mounts down which to throw our bodies. This turned out to be much less painful than previously said story, though i did, at one point, take a corner of a cinder block to the butt bone... not fun. Sleeping in my new sleeping bag was awesome. Everyone needs an excellent sleeping bag. The next day, some of us went out to slippery rock to take advantage of that "slippery" part behind their school. Unfortunatly, one kept either running into a fence or a tree. I took out a tree. He was hurting. Megan (single), I saved you life... you owe me one.

We started a new book study over at Pastor Hughes's home. Should be a good semester (or two).
