I have gas

on my mind a lot largely due to the fact that I pay $3.16 a gallon to fill up my little car (it runs better on the higher octane stuff since it was built when I was in 2nd or 3rd grade). If you're watching the news you might think the end of the world is near thanks to such an outrageous price for some as simple as gasoline (*sarcasm* A bobsled (and toilets) may be simple things...but I doubt getting a gallon of 93 octane gasoline in to my tank is a cake-walk). The reality is that gasoline has been undervalued. Thus, it's really not hurting our economy. Rather, a shortage will probably help as it provides incentive for innovation and entrepreneurship. A good article (sent to me by my favorite roommate) explains a lot.

On another note... I wish we could be as wise as 50 cent (though he said I could call him just 50...because me and him are down like that). Seems like the fact that most of these "entertainers" don't have a high-school diploma is too painfully obvious.
